Wed October 19
Today we began our next unit on "Early Humans" and defined prehistory, archaeology, artifacts, anthropology, and human fossils. We spoke about how historians are able to study early people without written records or documents. We then began our activity in which each pair of students study a different artifact placed on their desks. We will continue this activity into tomorrow. IF YOU WERE ABSENT, MISSED SOME NOTES, OR DO NOT UNDERSTAND LET ME KNOW!!
The Homework for tonight is to answer the homework questions given to you in class. If you lost your paper these are the questions:
1. Why is archaeology important?
2. What does the study of artifacts teach us about a culture that we couldn't learn in other ways?
3. Would you consider pursuing archaeology as a career? What do you think would be rewarding about it? What do you think would be frustrating?
