We are on the last day of January already!!

Today our do now consisted of a review of what we've learned about ancient India so far

We then took "Fill in Notes" on Hinduism and the caste system in India

Lastly, we worked in groups on an activity reviewing what we learned on the ancient Indian caste system

Homework: Study for your quiz on the geography of ancient India...You will need to be able to label a blank map of India!! 

Assignment started today and due Tuesday the 22nd:

Write a four paragraph essay comparing and contrasting your partners' project with your own

Introduction---> 1. Topic Sentence
                          2. Two sentences explaining what the assignment was about
                          3. One sentence about positives        Ex: There were many positive aspects to both mine and my partners' projects
                          4. One sentence about improvements


Body Paragraph 1---> 1. Topic sentence about positives
                                    2. Rest of the paragraph discusses the positives of both you and your partners' projects

Body Paragraph 2---> 1. Topic sentence about improvements
                                    2. Rest of paragraph discusses the improvements both you and your partner could have made

Conclusion--->  1. Restate thesis
                          2. Restate main idea of body paragraph 1
                          3. Restate main idea of body paragraph 2
                          4. Two More sentences

Welcome Back!! Today we did an activity in which you created your own god or goddess and had to explain its importance to your life (just like the ancient Egyptians!)

Homework: Work on ancient Egypt project due FRIDAY JANUARY 11TH!!
